No discutas con tu destino / Do not argue with your destiny

Buenas...

"¡No Paquito!

¡Amsterdam Prevalece!

Update: Me acaban de llamar. Entrevista retrasada a la semana que viene... El destino es un cachondo mental...

----------------- English Version ------------------

Hi...

It has been a busy day full of emotions, memories, nostalgia, sadness and joy...

Fate sometimes forces us to take paths we do not want to go through, and this is my story today ...

About 9 am I replied to an e-mail about a job position that, honestly, I did not understand ...

I received a job description that, although what I read it several times, honestly, I did not understand it at all...

Indeed, I only does not understand at all, but also gave me the impression that they did not know what they wanted...

And that was my e-mail: rejecting the interview because I did not understand the position, because They asked me to talk about things I can't talk about (a question of confidentiality) and because, honestly, I did not see a professional development in the medium and long-term for me...

"Kind regards, Paquito" was the last line I wrote in that e-mail before clicking "send" ...

A few minutes later, while I was reviewing some job offerings that I receive daily, my cell phone rang...

It was the headhunter to whom I had sent the e-mail. She called to tell me that she understood my concern about not understanding anything and she tried to convince me that I was a good candidate for the position...

It was very funny: I struggled to try to make them understand that they were looking for the wrong profile, that I strongly appreciated their interest on me but, for the good of his client, it would be better to seek a person with a different set of qualities, because I honestly believed that would be the best thing for them...

"No Paquito! They want someone like you. Your resume is very good, is a very dynamic company, with young people and they are very fast... That is, for sure, a professional environment you'll enjoy" ...

"If I am not saying that it did not" I replied being the honest person of the world "but I already have experience in these things and have no development in the medium term... I am looking for a job with a career development in the medium and long term... This time I think I will last 6 or 7 months and then there will be nothing else to do "...

But she convinced me, so tomorrow I'll find myself back to the train station to travel and to tell to a person who I am, what I do in this life, and above all, what do I know...

On Friday, I will have another interview, but these things only happen to me: I did not want to that job because, honestly, I didn't like the job description but I think sometimes fate wants us to follow him and not argue...

It has been a busy day: I miss my bed in Madrid, my "English Breakfast Tea" with my neighbor, the boy at the kiosk where I buy the press ... Those little things that make my life what it is...

Amsterdam prevails!

Update: .They just called me. The interview has been postponed to next week... Destiny is insane...

Paquito.

  4. Hola Sara :-))

    Paquito.
