Lluvia y Tiramisú / Rain and Tiramisu

English below (just look for the blue text),

Hola,

---------------- English Version ------------------

Hi,

I almost miss my weekly post! I am still not able to recharge the camera to get the pictures I took and I also tried to take pictures out of the card (something went wrong: the bloody computer asked me to format the card).

Still, it's time to write, knowing that maybe there are things that I do not want to tell you, things that I would prefer to keep for me and, above all, things I do not want to share with anyone ...

Truth is that (here the reader has to wonder) when writting in an open environment, where anyone can read, you have to think about the impact of your words ...

Sometimes I would like to close this blog and start fa new one completely anonymous, where nobody could identify me: the good and the bad thing about writing in here is that many people already know me, know how to put the real name behind " Paquito ", and with it my feelings, my passions, my good times and, especially, my most terrible moments ...

Sometimes I feel like Lester Durham in American Beauty: sometimes I feel like George Forbes Nash, locked in a reality that I do not like and, perhaps, through the pure reason, I can tolerate ...

I miss the mountains is something you tend to highlight in here in the long term... The horizon is always there, there is nothing between it and you, not even the slightest interruption, yet everything is green, and that is something that I always highlight as well...

The deep green of a land where the nature grows over the old sea ground...

When you have a bad day, you just want to escape and run away: you just do not care where, but you do not want to stay in here anymore...

However, good news coming around me: changes are good, like the rain, full of life... Some people come and go: by accepting that life is based on a perpetual change, where nothing lasts forever and where, at the end, we learn that only our will and our values are the things we should not change in our lives ...

On Wednesday I had the pleasure of enjoying the best tiramisu I've ever tried in my life: it was at work and the girl who made it (Italian, of course), in a wonderful gesture, gave me 3 pieces (the others had only one)...

So, when she suddenly asked me if I was enjoying the wonderful Italian dessert, it should not be strange to say I did not reply, while I kept my eyes lost in the bottom of that office ...

I was so amazed by the tiramisu that I remained speechless...

And those who know me can witness that happens very rarely ...

By the way: Very important! In two weeks a colleague of mine (along with her mother and sister) will be visiting Madrid for 3 or 4 days .. I need volunteers for at least one afternoon, to guide them through the city: if someone wants to help, well, just contact me...

I am writing a paper to explain her some things, such as places to visit: Any suggestion is welcome, especially unique places to buy things (here I am thinking on someone very special) or places to eat (I'm thinking in here about the guy that says that buying Apple means you're a wannabe-cool but he then buys kitchen knives designed with I do not know what technology on them the international Space Station would like to have them among their materials :-)).

Something nice from writing about people you know is that, in the end , you always finish smiling, something I need more than ever (and right now I cannot stop thinking about the "inter-galactic cook" :-)).

Sunday ends with a smile: I am still writing my little guide to Madrid ... I do not have much to say about Madrid: it is a small village of 4.5 million people where, even though it is not as beautiful as Paris, there is something no other city that I know makes me feel that way...

That's it prevails Amsterdam.

Paquito.
