Desde Amsterdam hasta Amstelveen / From Amsterdam to Amstelveen

English below (just look for the blue text),

Buenas,

----------------- English Version ------------------

Hi

After having a quiet weekend in Amsterdam (including the view of a 3D movie: Pixar's "Up", the studio founded by a character Mr. Hopkins loves so so so much), I decided this time to go home in a way "personal", that is, avoiding public transport and just walk to my destination ...

14.3 km: it was fun and a little bit tiring, though my biggest fear were my knees ... in here, the humidity and the height difference kills me: in Madrid I can walk at high speed for miles and miles, but in here, however, I must be careful to avoid a bad surprise :-((

The pictures I've taken belong to that walk: I have documented what I've been seeing in my way: 221 images showing you Amsterdam, "The Middle Earth" (a couple of miles between Amsterdam and my destination where, basically, there are only companies and roads) and Amstelveen, a beautiful residential area where, until now, I have been living :-))

It's time to move again. The body is asking me for a big change and a strange thought is crossing my head lately: "The answer lies in Utrecht"...

It would be rather inconvenient for my work (1 ½ hours commuting or so) but who knows? Maybe a little change of scenery suits me...

after all, since in here all urban areas are small, let's live at least in a nice one, with the Instituto Cervantes close by and students around as well (as in Darmstadt: I miss the Polytechnic University with graduate engineers wishing to change the world ).

These are the pictures: I hope you enjoy them...

A hug: Amsterdam prevails.

Paquito.
