Un Jueves en Amsterdam / A Thursday in Amsterdam

English below (just look for the blue text),

¡Hola! :-)

¡Amsterdam Prevalece! :-))

----------------- English Version ------------------

Hello! :-)

The day ends, and while CNN tells me what happened at Davos' Summit, I begin to write a summary of the day in the dyke of the river Amstel, which is the translation of the name of this special city in which I live ,Amsterdam (and that every evening prevails a little bit, when reading this blog :-)).

The sky was gray all day and has been raining until 16:00 when, just when I decided to take a walk, it stopped doing so but, before this, I had a phone interview where, once again, Paquito did a great job, and where, once again, I found the usual problem: "Too young and too qualified" ...

If one day I see the creators of Renault's JASP campaign ( "Young Although Strongly Qualified") they will listen to me...

I have been doing some e-mail cleaning, I then responded to a few more, I updated my database where I hold the selection processes in which I'm opting in and, at same time, I have been testing Microsoft Office 2007 (Outlook is very nice: the rest of the products are visually messy) and have been surfing on the Internet for a while looking for some various stuff...

But at 16:00 I took my scarf, my coat and my gloves, and decided to take a walk to the Kalverstraat (you know, the famous street of purchases)... A 25-minute walk with my iPod on "Shuffle" mode enjoying some amazing music with a pleasant weather (a little bit cold, but not rain and a gentle breeze)...

Just when I reached the Dam Place and entered at Kalverstraat, I suddenly had a wish, so I had to buy a cone of french fries from the place where they make the best (I really need to take the address to put it into a map for you :-))...

I went then to the red light district, I walked for a while there and then I turned back for home, noting, however, the amount of "freaks" that exists here in Amsterdam (I have to write about it because it's quite curious) ...

Now, at home, time to cook some dinner and do the laundry: tomorrow I have an interview in Leiden (a small village near Amsterdam), and I have to start preparing another process that I have in Venlo on Tuesday, about 200 kilometers from here...

There isn't much more to say, so that's all for today. As always, I'm opened to suggestions, questions and other :-))

Amsterdam prevails! :-))

  1. Hola Paquito,

    Paquito.
