English below (just look for the blue text),

Buenas :-))

¡Amsterdam Prevalece!

----------------- English Version ------------------

Hi, :-))

It is Saturday and it's 00:30: while "Do the Right Thing" (a very interesting film made by Spike Lee that I recommend to see) ends with its famous quotations about violence from Dr. Martin Luther King JR. and Malcolm X, I began to write about what I've been doing in recent days ...

Finally, e-mail's inbox is set to zero: I have replied all the e-mails I had, noted what I must do and pointed out at the calendar all the things I need to remember.

It's funny but I always remember everything because I write it down... I have learned to manage information in such a way that, in theend, I always know what I do ...

I have been planning the various routes that I must follow for the next trips I have in the coming days: on Friday I have to travel because of a (attention) 4 hours interview... It will be interesting (I'll talk to you about) and I suppose it will be intense, but, well, as always, I'll give my the best of myself to achieve my goal, which is nothing more than a job that I do like and can activate the passion to do things that I own...

Because of the last post I wrote, I have received several questions (via the blog comments and into my e-mail too) and the truth is I can not say anything: I only know that in a while I will start to see the results (the famous " butterfly effect " will make appearance) ...

At the same time, in recent days, I had some very interesting discussions with a wide range of people around here: it's great to know people who have a clear vision of certain things, as this helps me to focus much better on things I am going to find out on my way.

The weather has changed: Rain is back but I do not mind... Today I went to do some shopping and I went out only with a T-shirt: it was raining but I did not care, because beyond the bad weather, there was some "light in the air" and that, mixed with the soundtrack from film that I love, create a magical moment ( "God is in the rain" buddies :-)).

In the afternoon, I translated a post from one person, written in German, into English: I did it because I felt it would be interesting to her readers to be able to understand her experiences (it's no other person but our illustrious visitor from China, which wrote about her experiences working on those lands :-)) ...

During a few minutes, curiously, I went back to Darmstadt and I remembered Marco, my
Italian neighbor in Germany, with whom I had so great times (and unforgettable lunches at the University)...

I also replied to some questions that I have received through the contact form about different procedures to be followed in the Netherlands: some time ago I explained you how to get the SOFI Number (the Dutch tax identification number) and I must warn you: just after arriving and getting mine, all the rules changed, so now is much harder to get it (now it is required to register in the city council and they will manage both procedures) ...

Finally, I was working on my project, which goes pretty well: we are about to roll out a brand-new website with an electronic commerce platform adapted to The Netherlands... The essential difference with Spain in this regard is very clear: this country people use money transfers instead of credit cards, which is more popular and usual in my "dear homeland" (in addition that commissions payed for that kind of transactions are higher and, because of the free price for money transfers, this is here the preferred option) ...

Tomorrow I will start articulating the group of volunteers we have achieved for the project: it will be a lot of fun because I am honored to have a lot of different profiles and creative people. I have frm marketing consultants, journalists, to experts in sales and a pair of Dutch people, because a portion of the project (in a third phase) will be to translate everything we are doing into Dutch (the second phase is to develop an English interface language that will be updated in real time with the one we are working today, which is Spanish) ...

And in this story (working in Spanish and into English) I think I know someone who has some experience by doing so (I do not know whether you know him, but it is a guy who writes a blog about his life and now lives in Amsterdam: it is a good fellow, believe me :-)).

It is late and Comedy Central is broadcasting aSouthpark episode... It is curious: something as stupid as that makes me smile and repeat in my head one only sentence:

Amsterdam prevails!

  2. Hola Hola :-))

    Paquito.
