Habemus Tele!

English below (just look for the blue text),

Buenas,

------------------ English Version ------------------

Hi,

It's official: I'm back to the information society via Television. Yesterday, as I told you, I took a day off to disconnect a little bit from my job hunt.

This morning, however, it was time to solve some stuff (on Saturdays people here go out to solve things and buy stuff :-)).

So, riding our bikes, we went to a KPN Shop (It's like AT&T in the US) where we've asked for a change on the DSL contract and asked a TV contract at the same time...

Here's the funny thing: as I told you some time ago, here in The Netherlands, houses don't have antennas, BUT, because of that, KPN sells Digital Television Services based on DVB Decoders with a really cool antenna (it's really discreet) that looks like a PC speaker and a smartcard you need to activate via phone...

So, right now, while the Sun shiny salutes me, CNN keeps me up-to-date with the things that are happening throughout the world while, at the same time, I try to know which channels are included on the contract (the decoder took them all but then the smartdcard decides which ones you're allow to watch and which you aren't)...

I've been invited tonight to a birthday diner (one of the expats here) but I'm not sure if I want to go, we'll see (in this case I do not have to confirm anything: just go or not :-)).

That's all for today: Tele's back! and, above all, Amsterdam prevails! :-)

Paquito.
