Apocalipsis Now

English below (just look for the blue text),

Hola,

http://geshcann2.blogspot.com/2009/05/fire-water.html

---------------- English Version ------------------

Hi,

I was reviewing my RSS client and, all of a sudden, at "Geshcann Around the World" (a blog of a guy living in Brussels, same as Borjemon) I read about the mega-storm that we had a couple of days ago ...

http://geshcann2.blogspot.com/2009/05/fire-water.html

I did not want to give it any importance, but, after reading that "the storm" had come to Brussels, then I realized the dimension of that event...

The thing is that, as long as I live in my parallel universe, I do not realize anything ...

So there I was, in my house, with a 4 meters long by 2 wide window (not making this up), writing things on my Mac while the TV was broadcasting images of a film (this "detailed" description clearly shows my level of attention was "very high" :-)) when, after a lightning, I turned the head ...

And then I saw it: "The Apocalypse" as it was described the friend John, spectacular, majestic ...

Or "frightening", it depends on how you want to see it ...

Trees dancing a strange melody while the sky was lit up with thurders similar to the ones I saw in the most bestial thunderstorm I've lived in my life (June 2006, Darmstadt, Germany: that was unbelievable) ...

This time, however, a little bit more old and, Who knows? Maybe a little bit wiser, I was just looking at the window and watched for a while the power of nature...

Finally I decided to get into my room and slept placidly watching one of the most striking and disconcerting things that an article from National Geographic can offer you (along with the Aurora Borealis, a phenomenon that has the powerful ability to leave anyone silent) ...

The last thing I remember is to listen "V for Vendetta's" soundtrack...

The rest of the week has been filled-up with weird moments during which, by many times, I simply preferred to stay silent ...

In recent days I barely connected to the internet at home: House season is over and since I have some books waiting to be read, I have decided to dedicate myself into that matter :-))

Yesterday we had a barbecue: it was only for two people but it was great :-))

And today ... Today I went out to have a long ride with the bike while enjoying the good weather, discovering new corners closed to where I live ...

All of this, of course, with a secondary objective (and you should know me already: I never do anything with a single purpose): I'm creating a map with areas where my allergies get active... And maybe that could makes you smile, but Amsterdam (especially downtown) certain trees that will restrict my visits to the center in the next 4 weeks while, unfortunately, at work, I will continue identifying who is living in which areas when, in the morning, they pass on closed to me in their way to their desks ...

I am a small radar pollen :-))

Tomorrow, I'll go incognito to the city and, although I will suffer the pollen strike, I hope it's not too serious (I want to visit a very interesting thing, and I will write about it :-)).

Nothing else to say for now: Amsterdam prevails! :-))
